Retaliation is said to be best enjoyed cold, but sometimes the chill comes from the memories that linger rather than the actual act. I spent years trying to hide the hurtful traces of a deep-sunken betrayal and a sour love. An unexpected message from my ex-husband’s new wife broke my fragile peace just when I thought I had finally moved on, drawing me back into a web of secrets and desperation I never saw coming.
This is the tale of how old wounds were reopened, how a last-ditch appeal for assistance rekindled a fire I believed had long since been extinguished, and how justice was ultimately served in a way that no one could have predicted—especially my deceitful ex-husband. My name is Bridget.
